Alan Thatcher
Alan is an experienced journalist, author, TV commentator and an innovative event promoter. He has been organising tournaments big and small for more than 20 years, from the Maidstone Open at a cosy two-court club in Kent to the Liverpool Open, the biggest event in Europe with two days of live TV coverage on Sky Sports. He is also a Level 2 coach and chairman of the Kent SRA. Alan is also a supporter of Christians In Sport and is one of the leaders of a new community club, TriSports, being launched in Maidstone to provide sporting opportunities for disadvantaged children.Simon Scott
Simon lives in Cambridge and is an avid squash player. His skills lie in designing tournament layouts with the glass court, managing the background logistics during events and liasing with sponsors, making sure they are happy with the way their event is shaping up.
Simon is one of the top sloggers in squash, regularly registering an astonishing 160mph on the SquashUK radar gun. The record is held by John White with a phenomenal 172mph.
